A HISTORY OF SOAP The English began soap making during the twelfth century. Unfortunately, soap was heavily taxed as a luxury item, and so only the rich could afford the luxury. In 1853, when the English tax was repealed, a boom in the soap trade coincided with the change in social attitudes towards personal cleanliness.
MISSION DBS' Mission is to use the gifts of nature in the creation of products that benefit, nurture, stimulate, and soothe the skin, senses, and soul.
